The purpose:
We believe that all dogs deserve great all natural treats but more importantly a great home. All Fur Them was started to aid local shelters through our homemade dog treats. We donate half of our proceeds directly to local dog rescues and shelters.
The story:
A few years ago I started making treats for our dog, Bella, as I was not satisfied with the options available commercially. From ingredients I could not pronounce to quality issue stories in the news, I wanted to make sure I knew exactly what Bella was eating.
Fast forward a little bit, during a visit with my grandparents, my grandmother asked why I didn’t sell the treats I make for Bella. My first thought was, “Why would I do that? I have the time but I don’t need more money, so why start a business?” But of course the rest of the trip I kept thinking about what she said.
A few months went by and I started thinking about it again, but this time in a different way; if I do this, how can it be impactful? I had been looking for a way to give back in our community, and starting a business that would help other dogs in the process seemed like a perfect fit. Immediately the name All Fur Them came to mind, as I was doing this for them (all the dogs waiting for loving homes).
And now here we are. Using treats made with natural, human grade ingredients, we are pushing forward to make a difference for the shelters and rescues in Central Ohio by sending at least half of our profits directly back to them.
